Welcome to the McCreery Lab
About the lab
The McCreery Lab studies how interactions between the cell nucleus and the extracellular matrix (ECM) regulate cell fate, tissue assembly, and cancer. We are investigating how physical forces and biochemical signals from the cell niche are integrated to drive cell fate and function.
We combine cutting-edge techniques in live-cell microscopy, multi-omics data integration, and stem cell biology to uncover how cells sense and respond to their microenvironment -- knowledge that will guide the design of scaffolds and regenerative therapies that integrate seamlessly with native tissue.
Our mission is to do good science, to engineer solutions that will help people, and to train the next generation of doctors, medical scientists, and engineers.
